November 16, 2004 - Symbol: HBE (TSXV) HORNBY BAY MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENT George Bell, President and CEO of Hornby Bay is pleased to announce the appointment effective December 1, 2004 of Vadim Galkin, Ph.D., D.Sc. as Senior Geologist reporting to David Bent, Vice President Exploration.Mr. Galkin brings to the company 18 years of field experience and applied research in structural geology and physical modeling used for targeting mineral deposits. Over the last three years, Mr. Galkin has worked on the INCO-NSERC project at the University of Toronto to create a 3-dimensional geological/geochemical model of the world-class Ni-Cu-PGE Creighton Deposit in Sudbury, Ontario. At Hornby Bay, Mr. Galkin will develop a geological/geochemical model of the company’s Nunavut uranium claims containing data from drillhole logs, geochemical, geophysical and airborne surveys. In announcing Mr. Galkin’s appointment, Mr. Bell stated: "that in its 2004 field work, the company was searching for signs of similar characteristics to those found in high grade Athabasca Basin type uranium deposits and that the company is pleased to have discovered the following similarities:
Hornby Bay Exploration was incorporated in 1996 as a uranium exploration company and in the April/September 2005 period will continue its aggressive uranium exploration in the Hornby Bay Basin located in western Nunavut.
