October 5, 2004 - Symbol: HBE (TSXV) HORNBY BAY GRANTS ADVISOR OPTIONS TO PURCHASE COMMON SHARES Hornby Bay Exploration Limited (TSXV:HBE) wishes to announce that it has granted an aggregate of 100,000 options to purchase common shares of the Company exercisable at a price of $0.63 per share for a period of five years, to an advisor of the Company. The common shares issuable upon exercise of the options are subject to a four month hold period from the original date of grant.The grant of options is subject to regulatory approval, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
