May 10, 2004 - Symbol: HBE (TSXV) HORNBY BAY CONSULTANT APPOINTMENTS George Bell, President and CEO of Hornby Bay is pleased to announce the appointments of Suraj Ahuja as Lead Uranium Consultant and Lee Barker as Lead Diamond Consultant.Mr. Suraj Ahuja, Lead Uranium Consultant has over 30 years of uranium exploration and has first hand knowledge of all three Canadian Proterozoic sedimentary basins including several years of uranium exploration in the Hornby Bay Basin. He has served as Senior Geologists with SMDC (now Cameco Corporation) and Vice President of PNC Exploration, a major Japanese nuclear company. Since 2001, Mr. Ahuja has been President of SKAN Consulting Inc. Mr. Lee Barker, Lead Diamond Consultant brings over 40 years of experience in all aspects of exploration and has been involved in the discovery and development of a number of diamond deposits in the Lac De Gras and Coronation Gulf areas of Canada plus the discovery of a number of base metals and precious metals deposits. He has held senior management positions in several junior and major mining companies. In connection with the recent appointments 200,000 options to purchase common shares of the Company at an exercise price of $0.35 have been granted to the incoming lead consultants of the Company. Hornby Bay Exploration Limited is a Toronto based company with active exploration programs focused on uranium and diamonds on its 221 mineral claims covering 209,100 hectares (516,700 acres) in the Hornby Bay Basin and Asiak River regions of Nunavut (the Coronation Gulf Area).
